"Anything Must be What's Best for Him", said Ikea Monkey's Owner

Who owns a monkey that became a media sensation after playing around an Ikea parking area inside a stylish coat as well as a diaper wants her pet back – or otherwise assurances he could be being well looked after.

Yasmin Nakhuda, who had previously been fined for breaking Toronto's prohibited animal bylaw, told CBC News that she was speaking with a legal professional on whether she could regain custody of Darwin.

But she said she'd drop her fight if she knew he was receiving care.

"Should the sanctuary has the capacity to convince me actually carrying out a better job, then beyond doubt," Nakhuda told CBC on Tuesday. "Because every item has to become what's best for him."

Police were called on the Toronto Ikea on Sunday afternoon following the monkey broke loose coming from a crate and its particular owner's parked car.

Crowds gathered to find out Darwin because he scurried across the store's park. The well-clad monkey soon became a winner on Twitter.

Darwin continues to be delivered to a neighborhood primate sanctuary and it is in good shape, in accordance with authorities.

Nakhuda, who said she had grown all around Darwin, said she had owned the monkey for five months. She said she was lent your pet by an acquaintance who later said he didn't are interested back.

"There were no harm, it turned out all love," she said.
